The Gulf of Mexico is a beautiful, vibrant area but it is faced with extraordinary challenges. This program explores how communities on the coast learn about the risks they face and how to prepare to weather these tides of change.

Life along the Gulf of Mexico brings many wonderful things: lazy beach days, fun-filled crawfish boils, and beautiful sunsets – just to name a few. Though, with those also comes challenges, many associated with local sea-level rise. While addressing sea-level rise can appear daunting, communities have opportunities to increase their resilience to future impacts.

Tides of Change, a clip show produced by PLACE: SLR (a MSU Extension and Sea Grant partnersip), features the stories of how Gulf Coast communities are impacted by rising seas and the various ways they have worked to prepare for the future.
